Highway Connector in Tri-Valley Reopens Following Crash Involving Overturned Trailer Hauling Gravel
At 3:42 a.m., officers issued a SIG alert for the closure. Around 5:30 a.m., CHP reopened the connector ramp to traffic, according to CHP.

California Highway Patrol closed the westbound Interstate Highway 580 to northbound Interstate Highway 680 connector ramp in Dublin this morning, following a crash on the highway, according to California Highway Patrol. At 3:11 a.m., officers responded to reports of a solo vehicle crash on the highway ramp, CHP officials said.
When officers arrived they found a truck sitting upright with a rear trailer on its side, blocking the connector ramp, according to CHP officials. Gravel that apparently came from the truck’s trailer spilled across the highway lanes, CHP officials said.
Officers believe the trailer flipped when the truck failed to maneuver a curve on the connector, according to the CHP. At 3:42 a.m., officers issued a SIG alert for the closure.
