Holiday Decorating from the Home Garden

On Thursday, December 4, 6:30-8:30 PM, Jill Appenzeller will demonstrate festive holiday decorating techniques at the San Ramon Library.

On Thursday, December 4, at 6:30 PM, Jill Appenzeller, landscape architect and home décor-designer extraordinaire, returns to the San Ramon Library to show you how to make holiday decorations from your home garden foliage, fruit, seeds and other plant material.

Participants will be provided with a wreath form and supplies needed to make a wreath. Each participant is asked to bring a tall plastic kitchen bag of plant material to use and share, gloves, and a pair of hand clippers. Appenzeller will demonstrate other beautiful decorations you can make at home.

East Bay resident Jill Appenzeller is passionate about gardening. A member of numerous gardening associations such as the American Society of Landscape Architects, the Royal Horticultural Society, and the Diablo Women’s Garden Club, her work has been featured in many publications such as Better Homes and Gardens, Fortune Magazine, and the San Francisco Chronicle. Appenzeller is the author of postcards from the Hedge: Seasons in a Suburban Garden (New Year Publishing, 2010), and publishes a blog by the same name.
