Justice Delayed: San Ramon Attorney Not Sentenced
The victim was killed in a Dublin hit-and-run crash in 2012.

Sentencing for San Ramon attorney Spencer Freeman Smith, who pleaded guilty to charges of felony hit-and-run and a felony count of vehicular manslaughter in the death of Bo Hu, did not take place as expected Friday, according to Rebecca Richardson of the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office.
Hu was visiting Dublin from China when he was hit in the intersection of Dougherty and Fall Creek roads on May 15, 2012.

According to Richardson, the judge recused himself.
Smith will be back in court at 10 a.m. on April 10.
