SAN RAMON, CA — It’s almost that time of year: City Center’s ice rink is reopening for the season, and figure skating champion Kristi Yamaguchi is going to cut the ribbon to the ice rink carrying her name.

On Friday, Nov. 10, the Gold Medal and two-time World Champion figure skater will inaugurate the season, which will last until Jan. 7. From 6-7:30, enjoy a ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by an evening of skating performances and caroling from San Ramon Valley High School students.

The rink has expanded 15 percent from the previous year, and the platform has tripled in size, according to City Center Bishop Ranch. The rink also offers private cabanas and fire pits.
