Kristi Yamaguchi Will Cut Ribbon For City Center Ice Skating Rink

Kristi Yamaguchi will join San Ramon Mayor Dave Hudson, figure skaters, and the San Ramon Voices to usher in the start of skating season.

SAN RAMON, CA — It’s the most wonderful time of the year: Olympic Gold Medalist Kristi Yamaguchi will join local leaders Friday for the grand opening of the Kristi Yamaguchi Holiday Ice Rink at City Center Bishop Ranch.

Yamaguchi, who lives with her family in Alamo, will join San Ramon Mayor Dave Hudson and Alex Mehran, Jr. of City Center owner Sunset Development at noon on Friday, Nov. 11 to open the skating season. The ceremony will feature performances from figure skaters and caroling from SRVHS’s San Ramon Voices choir.

The ceremony marks the beginning of the skating season, which will last until Jan. 8. The rink is open 12 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. on weekends. Tickets can cost $30 and can be reserved for 90-minute sessions.
