SAN RAMON, CA — There's a happy ending for a Danville woman who lost her family heirloom wedding ring at City Center Bishop Ranch.

Last Monday, the woman lost the ring and video surveillance showed that two men may have seen it, according to the San Ramon Police Department. Police said they didn't believe the men stole the ring, but a message by the SRPD was posted on the department's Facebook page in an effort to track down the pair.

Sunday the SRPD posted a happy update to the story.

"We are thrilled to report the lost ring has been turned in and given back to the owner. The two gentlemen who found the ring on the ground at City Center earlier this week responded to the San Ramon Police Department last night and gave it to one of our officers," the SRPD posted again on Facebook. "It was still in the pocket of one of the gentlemen's work pants because they were unaware the ring had any value."
