Man Killed in Gun Club Parking Lot Was From Alamo
Officials identified the man who was shot in chest while in the parking lot of United Sportsmen Inc. in Concord on Wednesday.

A man who died from a gunshot wound in the parking lot of a gun club near Concord Wednesday afternoon was identified today as 64-year-old Robert Pohl of Alamo, according to the Contra Costa County sheriff’s office. Pohl was found at 4:41 p.m. suffering a gunshot wound to the chest in the parking lot of United Sportsmen Inc. at 4700 Elora Road.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the sheriff’s office. There is no criminal investigation into his death, but the sheriff’s office has not revealed how he was shot. A manager at the club today said he does not know how the shooting happened.
