Man Suspected of Possessing Stolen Gun Arrested During Traffic Stop
An officer stopped 23-year-old Erick Trujillo in the 2200 block of San Ramon Valley Boulevard in Danville.

A 23-year-old man was arrested this morning during a traffic stop in Danville after an officer spotted a handgun in the man’s vehicle, police said. Danville Police said an officer stopped Erick Trujillo, of Byron, at 10:25 a.m. in the 2200 block of San Ramon Valley Boulevard.
As the officer interacted with the driver, police said a handgun was seen in the vehicle. The gun was later determined to be stolen, police said. When the officer removed Trujillo from the vehicle and searched the car, another handgun was found, police said.
Trujillo was arrested on suspicion of possession of stolen property, possession of a loaded weapon and possession of a concealed weapon. He was booked into the Martinez Detention Facility.
