Megan Keefer Appointed As California High School Principal
Megan Keefer was appointed to principal for California High School during Tuesday's SRVUSD's board meeting.

SAN RAMON, CA — California High School has a new principal. At the San Ramon Valley Unified School District board meeting Tuesday, Megan Keefer was appointed to the position and will replace Cal High principal Chris George who is taking on a new position with the SRVUSD as assistant director of secondary education effective July 1. Keefer has served as San Ramon Valley High School's assistant principal since 2017, and has worked in the district since 2005.
According to a SRVUSD letter sent to Cal High staff and parents, Keefer has been in education for over 20 years. Prior to joining San Ramon Valley High, she was an assistant principal at Monte Vista High School in Danville from 2015-17 and also served as English teacher there from 2005-15. She came to the SRVUSD from Maine, where she was as an English teacher at North Berwick's Noble High School.
"We are excited to bring Ms. Keefer on board, and know you join us in welcoming her to California High School. She is excited about joining the team. Her experience and leadership will be a benefit to the community that she will serve," the letter stated.

Keefer holds a bachelor's degree in political science and a master's degree in teaching secondary English and social studies from the University of New Hampshire. She earned her Professional Clear Administrative Services Credential from California State University, East Bay.
