National Take Back Day - 4/26/14

The Drug Enforcement Administration will be sponsoring their 8th National Prescription Drug Take Back Day event throughout the U.S. on Saturday, 4/26 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Numerous police stations and other locations will be hosting drop off sites that day, including our San Ramon and Danville police stations.  Everyone is urged to take a critical look at your home medicine cabinets and other storage locations for medications that are expired or no longer needed.  You can help keep our waterways clean our our family, friends and neighbors safe by getting rid of those drugs at your nearest drop off location on 4/26.

Otherwise, please lock your over the counter and prescribed medications up!!  That's the single most effective way we can individually make a difference in curbing our nation's prescription drug abuse epidemic.  Those in San Ramon Valley and surrounding areas can drop off their medications routinely at the San Ramon and Danville PDs during normal business hours.  Others can go to www.baywise.org to find their nearest drop off location.
