Nominations Sought For Contra Costa Sustainability Awards

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA – Nominations will be closing soon for the Contra Costa Leadership in Sustainability And Green Building Awards.

This year's awards gala, planned for Sept. 20 at the Hilton Concord in Concord, will focus on choices consumers make and how these choices affect the environment around us.

There are five award categories, and nominations are sought for someone who should be recognized for their positive impact on sustainability here in Contra Costa County. The deadline is July 15!

Recognize an individual, nonprofit, government program, school, or business for their accomplishments by nominating them today!

• Leadership in Sustainable Communities
• Leadership in Food System Innovation
• Leadership in Sustainable Resource Management
• Leadership in Sustainable Economics
• Rising Star Award (18 and under)

Also to be recognized will be architects, builders and owners of green buildings in Contra Costa County with the fourth annual Green Building Awards.
