Package Thieves Seen Lurking In San Ramon Neighborhood, Cops Say

The man and his partner were caught on a home surveillance cameras early Tuesday morning, according to the San Ramon Police Department.

SAN RAMON, CA — A home surveillance camera caught two people scoping out a local neighborhood, looking for packages left on doorsteps, according to the San Ramon Police Department.

A video linked on a police department Facebook post shows a man walking on the sidewalk alongside a slow-moving sedan, spotting a package on a porch, grabbing it and running back toward the car.

Police remind residents to grab packages delivered as soon as possible and report suspicious people or cars in your neighborhood by calling dispatch at 925-973-2779.
