Philz Coffee To Open At San Ramon's City Center

SAN RAMON, CA — Philz Coffee is coming to San Ramon. City Center Bishop Ranch officials announced Thursday that "the handmade, one cup at a time, coffee shop" will open at the center this year.

“At Philz Coffee, our mission is to better people’s days through warmth and connection, one cup at a time,” said Philz Coffee CEO Jacob Jaber. “We do coffee differently, and we’re excited to introduce City Center Bishop Ranch and the entire Tri-Valley to our personalized coffees.”

Philz Coffee has more than 50 locations in California; the Washington, DC, Metro Area; and most recently, in Chicago.

Philz offers more than 12 customized blends made from coffee beans sourced from around the world. Baristas grind beans for each cup of coffee served and customizes beverages to customers' liking.

Jaber said the recipe to his company’s success is genuine customer service. “We always put the customer experience first,” he said.

“There isn’t a resident in the Bay Area who hasn’t heard of Philz Coffee,” said Alexander Mehran Jr., president and chief executive officer of Sunset Development Company, City Center’s owner and operator. “The quality speaks for itself.”

Philz Coffee will be located on the southeast corner of the center, next to Pottery Barn Kids.
