Photo Shows Man Suspected of Trying to Steal Teapot from San Ramon Whole Foods, Police Say

SAN RAMON, CA — San Ramon police officials are asking for the public’s help identifying a man who allegedly fought with grocery store loss prevention employees after he tried to steal a teapot and food items on Sept. 1.

According to San Ramon Police Officer Becky Chestnut, when the loss prevention officers at the Whole Foods Market in San Ramon confronted the man, he fought with them, at one point kicking one of the employees and causing the teapot to fall and break. The man fled the store.
