Police: Armed Man Robs Wells Fargo Bank in San Ramon

Police said a man armed with a handgun made off with an undisclosed amount of money after he robbed a bank in San Ramon this afternoon. San Ramon police Cpl. Joe Moore said officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at 2:28 p.m. at a Wells Fargo bank branch, located at 21001 San Ramon Valley Blvd.

A man handed the teller a note demanding money and showed the teller a handgun that was in his waistband, Moore said. The man walked out of the store with an undisclosed amount of money and Moore said no one was injured in the incident.

“It was only a matter of minutes,” Moore said. Moore said there is surveillance footage of the robbery.
