Probationer Accused Of 2 San Ramon Thefts Arrested: SRPD
Police said the Concord man may be connected with other thefts in the East Bay.
SAN RAMON, CA — A man accused of two burglaries in San Ramon in March was arrested last week after police served a search warrant at his Concord home. Ronald Stephens, 28, who is on probation, was arrested on suspicion of possessing stolen property, possession of a controlled substance, and a probation violation, according to police.
On March 26, a commercial burglary was reported at the Faria Preserve Development in San Ramon. Police said the suspect destroyed the locks on several storage units and stole power tools and a dump trailer. On March 30, a car burglary was reported at the Las Trampas Regional Park. Police said the suspect smashed the window of a parked car and stole personal items.
In both cases, a maroon GMC Suburban was seen in the area, according to police. Police said suspects later used the credit card stolen on March 30 to make purchases in San Ramon.

Police identified Stephens as a suspect in both cases. Police said they found the stolen trailer and other property during a search of his residence. Police believe Stephens may be responsible for other East Bay thefts and ask anyone with information to call Detective Fajeau at (925) 973-2700.
