Report Of Shots Fired At Bishop Ranch Building Unfounded: SRPD

Police quickly responded to the area to investigate.

SAN RAMON, CA — A report of shots fired within Bishop Ranch 1, which is located in the 6000 block of Bollinger Canyon Road in San Ramon, this afternoon was unfounded, police said. The San Ramon Police Department got the 911 call just after noon.

Police quickly responded to the scene and determined there was no active shooter and that the report was unfounded.

"There was no malicious intent by the caller reporting this incident, but several factors occurred simultaneously that led to this incident being reported as it was," police said in a statement. "This incident is a good reminder for police and citizens to work together for the safety of all. Thank you to all the citizens involved who assisted our personnel and helped our agency handle this call quickly and efficiently."
