Ripon Car Burglary Suspects May Be Linked To San Ramon Burglary
Police shared video of the San Ramon theft to remind residents about how quickly car burglaries can happen.
SAN RAMON, CA — A duo accused of burglarizing cars in Ripon may be connected to a San Ramon car burglary caught on camera in December of 2018, police officials said. Demari Taylor and Lionel Thornton Jr. were arrested in Ripon on suspicion of car burglary on Dec. 30.
Police said the suspects, who are both Stockton residents, were in a stolen vehicle similar to the one in the video of the San Ramon burglary. A dash camera captured video of the Dec. 20 crime. The victim’s car was parked in a parking lot at 21001 San Ramon Blvd. when it was targeted by thieves.
Police shared video of the theft to remind residents about how quickly car burglaries can happen. Police ask drivers to remove all valuables before leaving a car unattended and to report suspicious activity to local law enforcement.
