Road Closed, Drivers Trapped by Live Wires in Contra Costa County
CHP officials say there are no injuries in the incident so far.

A vehicle has hit several telephone poles, which are blocking a roadway this morning in Contra Costa County, California Highway Patrol officials are reporting. The crash occurred about 1 a.m. on Camino Tassajara between Highland Road and Windemere Parkway, according to the CHP.
Energized wires were down and trapping drivers of one or more vehicles, according to the law enforcement agency. Pacific Gas & Electric has responded to the crash site to de-energize the wires. The company has reported that power was cut to 168 customers, who should have power again by early afternoon. As of 3:30 a.m., crews were still clearing the scene in a less traveled area of the county.
CHP issued a Sig-Alert at 3:46 a.m. indicating all lanes on Camino Tassajara are blocked in both directions. The road may be closed for two more hours, CHP officials said. So far, officials have said there are no injuries in the incident.
