San Ramon 40th Anniversary Light Parade Set For Saturday

SAN RAMON, CA — Just as the clocks go back, San Ramon is celebrating light.

The 40th Anniversary Light Parade will bring illuminated dancers and floats along Camino Ramon to celebrate the city’s 40th birthday.

The parade will start at 6:30 pm Saturday at the corner of Camino Ramon and Executive Parkway. The parade will head south on Camino Ramon and end at Bishop Drive next to City Center. Afterwards, prizes will be awarded in five categories: San Ramon Spirit, Best Use of Lights, Best Lit Walking Group, Best Lit Vehicle/Float, and Judge’s Choice.

Viewing is available along both sides of Camino Ramon. No food or drinks will be for sale, so viewers are encouraged to bring their own. Alcohol is not permitted.

Attendees can start setting up chairs and blankets at 4 pm Saturday. Parking is available in several lots, including Bishop Ranch 2700, Bishop Ranch 2600, and Bishop Ranch 15.
