San Ramon Community Academy Applications Open
The 14-week course on law enforcement topics starts Feb. 15.
SAN RAMON, CA — San Ramon residents interested in learning about local law enforcement are invited to apply for the San Ramon Community Academy, which lasts Feb. 15 to May 9.
Over the course of 14 weeks, participants will learn from local officers and personnel about a number of law enforcement topics, including patrol, criminal investigations, traffic stops, crime scenes, narcotics, DUI, use of force, and more. Participants will also take field trips to the Marsh Creek shooting range and the Contra Costa Sheriff’s Office high-speed driving course.
The course is open to anyone 18 or older who lives and works in San Ramon. All applicants must pass a background check. Applications must be completed by Jan. 31 and emailed to Sgt. Mark Holland at mholland@sanramon.ca.gov, faxed to 925-838-2925, or dropped off at the San Ramon Police Department at 2401 Crow Canyon Road.
