San Ramon Community Tree Lighting Scheduled For Dec. 3

Enjoy Santa, crafting, hot chocolate, musical and dance performances, and holiday lights.

SAN RAMON, CA — It’s the most wonderful time of year in San Ramon, and the city has scheduled its annual Community Tree Lighting for Saturday, Dec. 3 at Central Park Meadow.

Festivities will begin at 4 p.m. at the San Ramon Skate Park in Central Park, where the community can enjoy holiday crafting and hot chocolate.

At 4:30 and 5:15, Santa will tell stories at the City Hall Rotunda, which will also host sing-along carols at 4:10 and 4:50 p.m.

The tree lighting will take place at 5:30 at Central Park Meadow, which will be followed by entertainment from the Dougherty Valley High School Choir, San Ramon Community Chorus, Studio 8 Dance Academy, and Olympia Fields Brass Band.

Residents are also asked to bring new, unwrapped gifts for children 0-18 (gifts for teens are especially needed) to donate to Toys for Tots. Residents can also donate Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Dec. 12 at any of the following locations:

On Thursday, Dec. 1 from noon to 2 p.m., a San Ramon Police Department patrol cruiser will be stationed outside City Hall accepting gifts for Toys for Tots as part of the “Stuff the Cruiser” initiative.
