San Ramon Cops Stop Shaving For Good Cause
San Ramon police officers who participate in No-Shave November will make a donation to a cancer research charity of their choice.
SAN RAMON, CA — The San Ramon Police Department is dropping its facial hair restrictions this month in support of the fight against cancer. Friday was the start of "No-Shave November," so citizens will notice extra stubble on officers' faces.
No-Shave November is a month-long event during which participants forgo shaving to raise awareness and money for cancer. San Ramon police officers who participate will make a donation to a cancer research charity of their choice, the department said.
"We will post updates as their glorious (and not so glorious) goatees, beards and mustaches take shape!" the department said on social media.
