Send a Letter to Santa at San Ramon City Hall
Submit Letters by December 18 to Receive a Reply

Santa's red mailbox is located in the lobby of San Ramon City Hall (7000 Bollinger Canyon Road). Letters are delivered directly to the North Pole! Please print your child's name and address so Santa can reply.

Toys for Tots Holiday Toy Drive

Drop Off Donations at Four City Locations through Wed, Dec 13

Brighten a child's holiday season by supporting the Toys for Tots holiday toy drive, now through Wednesday, December 13!

The City of San Ramon is accepting donations of new, unwrapped toys for ages 0–12 at the following locations:

  • San Ramon City Hall
    7000 Bollinger Canyon Road
    Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5 p.m.
  • San Ramon Community Center
    12501 Alcosta Blvd
    Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5 p.m.
  • Alcosta Senior and Community Center
    9300 Alcosta Blvd
    Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–3 p.m.
  • San Ramon Service Center
    5000 Crow Canyon Road
    Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5 p.m.

Crow Canyon Widening Update
Construction Continues Between Alcosta Blvd & Crow Canyon Private (Cobblestone)

Work continues on the Crow Canyon Widening Project between Alcosta Boulevard and Crow Canyon Private (Cobblestone). See below for a summary of recent and planned upcoming work.

Work Completed Through 12/4/23:

  • Completed soil bench excavation (removal of additional soil that was added for equipment to drive on)
  • Completed retaining wall installation
  • Completed traffic signal switchover work at the intersection of Crow Canyon Road and Tahiti Drive/El Capitan Drive
  • Completed Job walk with 3rd party utility companies (Barbados Drive to Crow Canyon Private)
  • Installed colored stain on retaining wall

Work Planned Through 12/15/23 (Weather Dependent):

  • Continue traffic signal work at the intersection of Crow Canyon Road and Tahiti Drive/El Capitan Drive to remove existing right turn lane closure in mid- to-late December
  • Continue drainage inlet work
  • Continue electrical work at Barbados for traffic signal
  • Continue 3rd party utility relocation/adjustment work (Barbados Drive to Crow Canyon Private)
  • Continue irrigation installation (Barbados to Crow Canyon Private)
  • Continue sidewalk, curb, and gutter grading and installation
  • Anticipated week of December 11: traffic signal turn-on at the intersection of Crow Canyon Road and Barbados Drive. Expect delays and watch for flaggers; use another route to avoid delays
  • Remove Barbados Drive Road closure in mid-to-late December

Construction Update: Iron Horse Trail Overcrossing
Upcoming Changes to Bollinger Canyon Road Traffic

Work continues on the Iron Horse Trail Overcrossing at Bollinger Canyon Road. Please see below for anticipated upcoming work and impacts to traffic flow.

Work Completed Through 12/04/23:

  • Completed CIDH (cast in drilled hole) pile work on the North and South Trail
  • Completed traffic signal switchover to temporary system
  • Completed equipment mobilization to the median
  • Began median CIDH pile work

Work Anticipated Through 12/15/23 (Weather Dependent):

  • Continue demolition, excavation and MSE wall work on the Trail
  • Continue electrical work for the traffic signal at the intersection of Bollinger Canyon Road at BR1E
  • Complete Median CIDH (cast in drilled hole) pile work
  • Thursday, December 14: Potential traffic signal switchover to the permanent traffic signal system. Expect delays and watch for flaggers
  • Friday, December 15: Potential adjustment to k-rail to reduce the existing closure area to the original configuration. Expect delays and watch for flaggers
