City Office Closures for Presidents Day
Monday, February 19

The following City facilities will be closed Monday, February 19 in observance of Presidents Day and will re-open on Tuesday, February 20:

Emergency services will not be affected by the holiday closure, and Police Patrol Services will continue to be provided.

State of the City Address by Mayor Dave Hudson
Wednesday, February 28 at 11:30 a.m.
San Ramon Marriott
San Ramon Mayor Dave Hudson will give the annual “State of the City” address on Wednesday, February 28 at the San Ramon Marriott (2600 Bishop Drive), presented by the San Ramon Chamber of Commerce.
The Mayor's address will cover updates from San Ramon over the past year, the City's financial outlook, and upcoming projects.
The event takes place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and includes lunch. Tickets are required and can be purchased at the link below.

Construction Update: Crow Canyon Widening
Construction Continues Between Alcosta Blvd & Crow Canyon Private (Cobblestone); Partial Roadway Paving Anticipated in Late February / March
Work continues on the Crow Canyon Widening Project between Alcosta Boulevard and Crow Canyon Private (Cobblestone). See below for a summary of recent and upcoming work.
IMPORTANT: Partial paving on Crow Canyon Road is anticipated to begin in late February/March and is weather-dependent. New traffic control will continue to be installed for roadway paving operations. Watch for changes to the traffic pattern to accommodate paving, and expect delays. Paving is expected to take 4–6 weeks.
Paving will include the intersection of Crow Canyon Road/Alcosta Blvd and require a detour at Camino Ramon.
Additional paving will include work on Crow Canyon Road, Tahiti Drive, and El Capitan.

NOTE: Tahiti Drive is now temporarily closed to vehicles (with traffic detoured to Barbados Drive), but remains open to pedestrians.
Work Completed Through 2/14/24:
- Completed water meter installation
- Completed EBMUD meter disconnection
- Completed Verizon utility box adjustments
- Completed curb, gutter, and sidewalk work in eastbound direction from Alcosta Blvd to Barbados Drive
- Substantially completed curb, gutter, and sidewalk work in westbound direction from Alcosta Blvd to El Capitan
- Northbound Barbados Drive was opened on 1/30/24
- Completed box and valve adjustment to prepare for paving operations
- Completed sidewalk on Tahiti Drive
Work Planned Through 2/22/24 (Weather Dependent):
- IMPORTANT: Partial roadway paving is anticipated in late February/March and is weather dependent. New traffic control will continue to be installed for roadway paving operations. Watch for changes to the traffic pattern to accommodate paving. Expect delays. Paving will include the intersection of Crow Canyon Road/Alcosta Blvd and require a detour at Camino Ramon. Additional paving will include work on Crow Canyon Road, Tahiti Drive, and El Capitan. Tahiti Drive is now temporarily closed to vehicles, with traffic detoured to Barbados Drive. Tahiti Drive remains open for pedestrian traffic.
- El Capitan - remove existing southbound right turn lane closure in March after partial roadway paving is complete
- Continue drainage inlet work
- Continue irrigation installation (Tahiti Drive and Barbados to Crow Canyon Private)
- Continue roadway base work for paving

San Ramon Sandbag Stations & Weather-Related Maintenance Requests
With rain expected to continue into next week, the City of San Ramon has made sandbag supplies (sand and bags) available to for public use.
Sandbag supplies are available at three locations:
- Athan Downs (Montevideo Drive near San Ramon Valley Blvd)
- Central Park (Alcosta Blvd adjacent to the San Ramon Community Center)
- San Ramon Sports Park (Sherwood Way)
Tips for sandbag stations:
- Bring your own shovel
- Fill bags 2/3 full
- Securely close or tie off the open end
Weather-Related Maintenance Requests:
To report clogged storm drains, downed trees, or flooding challenges, please call(925) 973-2800 during business hours (Monday–Friday,8:30 a.m.–5 p.m.) or the San Ramon Valley 911 Communication Center at(925) 973-2779 after hours, and they will contact the appropriate Public Works staff for a response.
Aspenwood Senior Apartments: Accepting Applications
Occupancy Anticipated to Begin This Month
The construction of the Aspenwood Senior Apartment project for 122 income-restricted senior apartment units, made possible in part by significant funding from the City, continues to make progress toward occupancy, and is anticipated to open this month.
The developer is accepting applications for eligible senior (62+) households through the project website (www.aspenwoodseniorapts.com). Interested applicants may also contact the developer at (925) 766-6070 for more detailed information.
The selection process will incorporate household income requirements, and the adopted San Ramon priority access-system guidelines for City-funded housing projects. This includes priority preference for San Ramon residents, and people who work in San Ramon. There is also preference given to veterans, first responders, and public employees.

The Friday Foreign Film Series continues this Friday, February 16 at 7 p.m. at the Dougherty Station Community Arts Center (17011 Bollinger Canyon Road) with a showing of In the Mood for Love, listed by Sight & Sound as one of the greatest films of all time. In Wong Kar-Wai's film, a man and a woman slowly develop feelings for one another, but vow to keep the relationship platonic - even though their spouses are having an affair together. (Cantonese with English subtitles; 98 minutes; Rated PG)
This year, the Friday Foreign Film Series focuses on Asian cinema with films from Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, and Vietnam. Each screening will be followed by a group conversation led by a moderator.

Teen Job Fair: Employers Wanted

The Tri-Valley Teen Job & Career Fair is actively seeking employers interested in hiring seasonal summer staff.
With more than 350 high school attendees expected, this event presents an excellent opportunity to connect with motivated young individuals.
The Teen Job & Career Fair takes place Saturday, March 9, from noon –3 p.m. at the Alcosta Senior and Community Center (9300 Alcosta Blvd) in San Ramon.

Construction Update: Iron Horse Trail Overcrossing
Upcoming Changes to Bollinger Canyon Road Traffic
Work continues on the Iron Horse Trail Overcrossing at Bollinger Canyon Road. Please see below for anticipated upcoming work and impacts to traffic flow.
Work Completed Through 2/14/24:
- Completed CIDH (cast in drilled hole) pile work on the North and South Trail
- Completed traffic signal switchover to temporary system
- Completed equipment mobilization to the median
- Completed median CIDH pile work
- Completed traffic signal switchover to the permanent traffic signal system at the intersection of Bollinger Canyon Road and BR1E
- Completed adjustment to k-rail to reduce the existing closure area to the original configuration
- Received first delivery of MSE panels for evaluation
- Completed CCCSD utility work
Work Anticipated Through 2/22/24 (Weather Dependent):
- Continue demolition, excavation on the Iron Horse Trail
- Continue abutment, pier and MSE wall work on the Trail including rebar installation and concrete pours
- Continue MSE panel installation
- Continue median work

Unclaimed Property
The City of San Ramon declares that monetary sums totaling $96,733.05 held by the City in the General Fund have remained unclaimed for a period over three (3) years and will become the property of the City of San Ramon on April 8, 2024, a date not less than forty-five (45) days nor more than sixty (60) days after the first publication of this notice, in accordance with California Government Code Section 50050-50057.
