San Ramon Has Talent: 'When Life Gives You Lemons'
Colored pencil artist Ranjini Venkatachari's work reminds us to retain positivity in the face of hardship.

SAN RAMON, CA — We all know the old aphorism "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade." In this latest installment of San Ramon Has Talent, Ranjini Venkatachari presents a visual aid to help remind people to try to find the positive in difficult situations.
"Life gives us all lemons from time to time and it is up to us to decide what to do with them," she said. "I know it's easier said than done when going through a difficult time. Whatever it is you are going through at this time in your life, I hope things get better and you are able to see that light at the end of the tunnel."
Venkatachari is an alternate member of the San Ramon Arts Advisory Committee who runs two tutoring centers in San Ramon and one in Dublin. Her work will be featured at the Pleasanton Art League fall members show at the Firehouse Gallery on Nov. 12 from 1-3 p.m. She will also demonstrate her colored pencil technique on Nov. 19 from 11-12:30 at the Firehouse. The event is free to the public.
