San Ramon High Schooler Winner Of 'Doodle 4 Google' Competition

Elaine Park's art beat out more than 200,000 entries. Find out how you can help her win the national title!

SAN RAMON, CA — A San Ramon high schooler beat out more than 200,000 entries and won the 2018 Doodle 4 Google competition. Elaine Park, a sophomore at Dougherty Valley High School, was honored during a special assembly hosted by Google on Sunday, according to the San Ramon Valley Unified School District. The theme of the competition was “What inspires me.” Elaine says she was inspired by her “close-knit family.”

Elaine’s artwork is now up against 52 other designs in the national finals. If she wins, she will be awarded a $30,000 college scholarship, a trip to the Google campus, and her school will win a $50,000 tech grant from Google.
