San Ramon Man Suffers Major Injuries From Wrong-Way DUI Driver

SAN RAMON, CA — A San Ramon man has been identified as the victim of a wrong-way driver in West Sacramento.

The wrong-way driver crashed into a Toyota pickup driven by Justin Daniel Miller, 29, of San Ramon around 12:20 a.m. Monday on Highway 50, just east of Harbor Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Brett Austin Walter, 25, of Fair Oaks was driving eastbound in the westbound lanes when the Subaru he was piloting smashed head-on into Miller, according to the CHP.

Both men suffered major injuries.

Walter is suspected of driving under the influence, according to the CHP.
