40th Anniversary Light Parade
Saturday, November 4 at 6:30 p.m.
Along Camino Ramon
San Ramon’s 40th Anniversary Light Parade is an event for all families, neighborhood groups, and businesses to come together and celebrate San Ramon. Light up the night with this evening birthday-themed LIGHT parade, stretching along Camino Ramon. Dancers, illuminated floats, bands, auto clubs, and entertainment will make this a luminescent birthday celebration for the whole San Ramon community.
Bring a chair or a blanket and watch the parade on Camino Ramon between Executive Parkway and Bishop Drive. Please do not place any blankets or chairs along the parade route before 4 p.m.

Crow Canyon Widening Update
Construction Continues Between Alcosta Blvd & Crow Canyon Private (Cobblestone)
Work continues on the Crow Canyon Widening Project between Alcosta Boulevard and Crow Canyon Private (Cobblestone). See below for a summary of recent and upcoming work.
Work Completed Week of 10/16/23:
- Continue retaining wall installation
- Continue placing aggregate base (bottom layer of roadway) for future roadway section between Alcosta Boulevard and Barbados Drive
- Continue soil bench excavation (removal of additional soil that was added for equipment to drive on)
- Concrete demolition work for future sidewalk
Work Planned Week of 10/23/23:
- Continue retaining wall installation
- Continue soil bench excavation (removal of additional soil that was added for equipment to drive on)
- Begin traffic signal work at the intersection of Crow Canyon Road and Tahiti Drive/El Capitan Drive
- Survey curb locations
- Job walk with 3rd party utility companies (Barbados Drive to Crow Canyon Private)
- Begin irrigation installation (Barbados to Crow Canyon Private)
- Begin subdrain installation
Work Planned Week of 10/30/23:
- Continue retaining wall installation
- Continue traffic signal work at the intersection of Crow Canyon Road and Tahiti Drive/El Capitan Drive
- Begin drainage inlet work
- Begin 3rd party utility relocation/adjustment work (Barbados Drive to Crow Canyon Private)
- Continue irrigation installation (Barbados to Crow Canyon Private)

Construction Update: Iron Horse Trail Overcrossing
Upcoming Changes to Bollinger Canyon Road Traffic
Work continues on the Iron Horse Trail Overcrossing at Bollinger Canyon Road. Please see below for anticipated upcoming work and impacts to traffic flow.
Work Planned for Week of 10/23/23:
- Continue Trail area demolition
- Continue electrical work for the traffic signal at the intersection of Bollinger Canyon Road at BR1E
Work Anticipated for Week of 10/30/23:
- Begin CIDH (cast in drilled hole) pile work on the north Trail
- Continue electrical work for the traffic signal at the intersection of Bollinger Canyon Road at BR1E (10/30 to 11/2)
- November 1: Night work to install k-rail planned. The intersection and one additional westbound lane on Bollinger Canyon Road are expected to be closed for the median CIDH (cast in drilled hole) pile work. The intersection and additional lane will be closed for 2 to 3 weeks while the median CIDH (cast in drilled hole) pile work is taking place.
- November 2: Traffic signal pole relocation and traffic signal switchover – watch for flaggers and traffic control
- November 3: Night work to mobilize equipment into the median
- CIDH (cast in drilled hole) pile work begins week of November 6

Coming Soon: Nine (9) Units at City Village through San Ramon Below Market Rate (BMR) Home Ownership Program
Opportunity Drawing Deadline: Friday, October 27 at 5 p.m.
Nine (9) Below Market Rate (BMR) units at The Towns at City Village by Summerhill Homes will soon be released for purchase via lottery. The deadline to enter the opportunity drawing lottery for these units is Friday, October 27, 2023 at 5 p.m.
City Village, a collection of 404 homes, will include a two-acre public park and open spaces, walking and biking trails, gathering nodes, seating areas, and a community barbecue area.
The three distinct neighborhoods include The Towns, The Rows, and The Courts. The Towns is a collection of 136 three-level attached townhomes with three or four bedrooms, ranging from 1,720 to 2,250 sq. ft. Within the nine (9) upcoming units, opportunities will be available for Very Low, Low, and Moderate Income households (click here to view income categories and household sizes).
HouseKeys will be administering the lottery on behalf of the City of San Ramon. Applicants must enter the appropriate opportunity drawing by visiting the HouseKeys website. Additionally, the deadline to submit all supporting files for the opportunity drawing is November 10, 2023.
The City of San Ramon is NOT offering any Down Payment Assistance.

Fall Symphonic Band Concert
Wednesday, November 1 at 7 p.m.
Dougherty Valley Performing Arts Center
Enjoy a concert that is sure to be out of this world on Wednesday, November 1 at 7 p.m. at the Dougherty Valley Performing Arts Center (10550 Albion Road). The San Ramon Symphonic Band is a group of more than 40 dedicated and talented musicians.

Full I-680 South Closure Planned from I-580/I-680 Connector to Koopman Road
Friday, November 3 – Monday, November 6
Caltrans is scheduled to close southbound Interstate 680 in Pleasanton between the I-580/I-680 Connector and Koopman Road on Friday, November 3 through Monday morning, November 6.
During the closure, contractor will replace a portion of the existing deteriorated roadway with new pavement on southbound I-680, between I-580/I-680 Connector and Koopman Road. This work will repair deteriorating existing pavements and enhance motorist safety while reducing the number of nightly closures needed on the project.
The I-680 freeway will be closed in the southbound direction between I-580/I-680 Connector and Koopman Road from 9 p.m. Friday, November 3 to 4 a.m. the following Monday, November 6.
Northbound I-680 will remain open and will not be affected by the closure.
Caltrans is aware that the closures will impact the public and measures are being taken to minimize inconvenience.
