San Ramon FC develops players, character, and community through soccer. With both recreational and competitive programs, the club has teams for boys and girls, welcoming both beginners and players with advanced skills. Popular fall recreational programs include the U5-U8 Junior Academy and the U9-U19 Recreational program. The club's youth competitive program holds tryouts annually in May for its U7 Academy, U8-U19 Competitive, and ECNL-RL level teams.. Camps are offered during winter and summer breaks. Competitive youth futsal training and league play are available in the winter, as part of its youth futsal affiliate, 925 Futsal. The club has received US Soccer's Players First designation and it promotes 11 pillars of character important for success in soccer and in life. Financial aid is often available to families that qualify for assistance. The club has a growing pro-development program, featuring a competitive women's team and two men's teams. Each compete in regional leagues in Northern California. These talented adult teams give local residents the opportunity to watch competitive adult soccer matches minutes from home. More importantly, they give skillful young adult players in the area the opportunity to further develop their soccer skills through competitive play. Older teenage players in the club also have the opportunity to train and play on these pro-development teams to help them gain valuable experience. In 2026, San Ramon FC achieved a milestone for the club. It's men's senior team qualified for the US Open Cup. The team played professional club Phoenix Rising FC in Arizona in March, marking the first time a San Ramon FC soccer team took the field against a professional side in a competition. The club continues to strive to teach the beautiful game to youth players in the community and to help them develop their full potential, both as players and as people. Freddie Bryant’s Kaleidoscope West Trio draws from a vivid range of influences: straight-ahead jazz, blues, New Orleans grooves, Brazilian and Latin rhythms, and world music traditions. The program features music from Freddie’s recent album Solo Bossa, his acclaimed song cycle Upper West Side Love Story, and Live Grooves...Epic Tales.

Freddie is joined by an exceptional rhythm section with Sylvia Cuenca on drums and Doug Miller on bass.

A Yale School of Music graduate with a master’s degree in classical guitar, Freddie Bryant is active in the New York jazz and Brazilian music scenes. He has worked with artists including Eliane Elias, Tom Harrell, Ben Riley’s Monk Legacy Septet, and the Mingus Orchestra, where he has performed for two decades.

His music reflects a truly global journey. Freddie has toured in 55 countries and collaborated with musicians from many traditions, including Indian classical music, African vocal music, oud ensembles, traditional Arab groups, and klezmer bands.

Employers are telling us what the next decade of work will require, and it isn't more screen time or another coding class.
In the World Economic Forum's Future of Jobs Report 2025, more than half of employers named durable human skills, including creative thinking, resilience, self-awareness, empathy, and curiosity, among the core skills their workforce needs. CASEL, a leading authority on social and emotional learning, echoes this in its annual State of the Field address: alongside math, reading, and science, these human skills are what let a person grow, adapt, and thrive no matter how the economy or job market shifts.
Here's the part most parents never hear. Those workplace skills aren't a separate checklist to train. Each one grows out of a deeper set of social-emotional competencies: knowing your own emotions, managing them under pressure, and reading the emotions of others. Resilience and flexibility grow from a child learning to manage emotion. Empathy and collaboration grow from learning to read others. Creativity and sound judgment grow from self-awareness. Build that foundation, and the workplace skills follow. Skip it, and no amount of tutoring or enrichment fills the gap.
And that foundation is built through relationships, which is where you come in.
Teachers, coaches, and mentors all contribute to a child's social-emotional growth. But the most important relationship is the one at home. A child's bond with a parent is the template for every relationship that follows, and it is where they first learn whether emotions can be named, whether stress can be soothed, and whether the world is safe enough to stay curious in. Psychologists call that bond attachment, and it is the soil these durable skills grow in. No teacher or program can replace it, and no adult has more influence over it than you, at every age including the teen years.
This workshop shows you how it works and what to do about it: which skills the future demands, why they matter more as AI reshapes work, how secure attachment builds them from the inside out, and what you can start doing today.

Middle school is an exciting milestone, but it’s also one of the biggest transitions students experience. Suddenly, they’re expected to manage multiple teachers, keep track of assignments across classes, stay organized, plan ahead, and take on more independence.
The challenge is that many students don’t realize they’re missing these skills until they’re already feeling overwhelmed. At SOS4Students, we’ve worked with countless middle school students who came to us after struggling with these new expectations. We saw the same patterns again and again, which is why we created Mastering Middle School.
This summer workshop helps rising middle schoolers build the executive functioning skills they’ll need before the school year begins. During the intensive session on August 1–2 at Orinda Academy, students will learn practical strategies for:
• Organization and managing materials • Time management and task management • Homework routines and study strategies • Effective note-taking • Self-advocacy and communicating with teachers • Navigating the increased independence of middle school
