We asked Patch Readers what they thought the biggest safety issues were in their town. Here’s a list of the most pressing problems, from break-ins to traffic jams:

  • "Impatient drivers! I can't believe the amount of residents that don't obey the posted speed limits or stop signs. Making a full and complete stop at a red light before making a right turn might just get you rear ended!"
  • "Pine Valley and Montevideo seem to be considered freeways. Drivers need to slow down and recognize traffic laws."
  • "Tailgating, not looking around, speeding and running stop signs. And it's not the teenagers! We need more patrolling."
  • "Firemen with the boot would slow traffic down. Works in Vacaville."
  • "Besides impatient drivers, which is a problem everywhere in the Bay Area, the biggest safety issue is probably prescription drug addiction."
  • "Driving like lunatics around the schools at pick up and drop off times."
  • "Texting while driving. Lately, everyone I see driving in our neighborhood is looking down."
  • "Driving on most of Alcosta Blvd."
  • "Red light runners. Especially on Crow Canyon Rd."
  • "Don't forget all the home break ins..."
