San Ramon Schools Named California Distinguished Schools

Two San Ramon schools were recognized by the California Department of Public Education for superior performance and climate.

SAN RAMON, CA — Two San Ramon schools and seven SRVUSD schools have been named 2026 California Distinguished Schools by the California Department of Education. The recognition honors public schools that demonstrate strong student outcomes and instruction programs that support academic success for all students.

Schools across the state were selected based on performance indicators including academic achievement, student progress, and school climate measures.

  • Iron Horse Middle School
  • Pine Valley Middle School
  • Charlotte Wood Middle School
  • Diablo Vista Middle School
  • Los Cerros Middle School
  • San Ramon Valley High School
  • Stone Valley Middle School

Cal High, Dougherty Valley High School, Pine Valley Middle School, Iron Horse Middle School, Gale Ranch Middle School, Coyote Creek Elementary School, Golden View Elementary School, Live Oak Elementary School, Neil Armstrong Elementary School, and Quail Run Elementary School have all been named California Distinguished Schools in past years.
