SAN RAMON, CA — Luke Enna, a well-known San Ramon soccer coach, has been arrested on suspicion of rape, the San Ramon Police Department announced Tuesday.

The 18-year-old woman, whose name is not being released, was housesitting for Enna Oct. 26-27, police said. While she was sleeping, Enna returned to his San Ramon home Oct. 27 and at approximately 5:30 a.m. committed "multiple sexual acts without the woman consent.," SRPD reported.
Enna, 36, is the woman's former soccer coach and was employed by him, police said.

According to the booking charge — PC 261(a)(3) — the woman was prevented from resisting or fending off the alleged sex acts because she was under the influence of an "intoxicating or anesthetic substance, or any controlled substance."
San Ramon police declined to elaborate or provide further details.
In an emailed statement, San Ramon FC's Executive Director Dan Chamberlain said Enna is no longer employed by the club and the allegations are being taken very seriously.
"Upon learning of his arrest, we took immediate action," Chamberlain said. Enna was placed on administrative leave and is prohibited by the organization to have any contact with club players. San Ramon FC has also banned Enna from club facilities, including all fields and its futsal facility, Chamberlain said.
"Our primary concern is the safety and security of our players and families, and we want to assure you that we continue to actively work with our attorneys to complete a thorough investigation in parallel with the San Ramon Police Department," Chamberlain said. "At this time, we do not have any evidence to suggest that any inappropriate actions have taken place between Mr. Enna and any underage players in our club."
San Ramon police are actively investigating this incident. Anyone having any information about it or any other suspicious activity involving Enna is encouraged to contact the San Ramon Police Department at (925) 973-2779.
