San Ramon Student Crafts Jewelry To Help Those In Need
Dougherty Valley junior Varnika Sirasala's Arista Jewelry has donated thousands of items to women and children in need.
SAN RAMON, CA — A Dougherty Valley junior has been able to provide numerous items to children in need in India and across the Bay Area, thanks to her jewelry company .
Varnika Sirasala created Arista Jewelry, which features hand-designed earrings, rings, and necklaces. Seventy-five percent of its proceeds have been used to purchase over 1,500 educational items, including books and stationery, given to children in shelters like Shepherd’s Gate and Operation Dignity. Arista has also helped sponsor girls’ education in India, and purchased hygiene and clothing essentials for residents of the Building Futures shelter.
“This dedication to education reflects Arista's unwavering belief in shaping a brighter future, one where opportunities are not bound by circumstances but propelled by compassion and knowledge,” Varnika told Patch in an email.
