San Ramon Valley Firefighters Host Safety Saturday and Music Event to Raise Money for the Children of Fallen Firefighters

Rock to Remember is on Saturday, October 18 at Firehouse 37 restaurant and Market Place Center in San Ramon.

Join with San Ramon Valley Firefighters at the third annual Rock to Remember on Saturday, October 18 at Firehouse 37 restaurant and Market Place Center in San Ramon. This annual event combines great food with incredible music all to help raise money and awareness in an effort to help the families of fallen firefighters. All proceeds will be donated directly to the California Fire Foundation Endowment.

New this year is the addition of “Safety Saturday”, a lunch and afternoon event that encourages families to come out and meet their firefighters and police officers and learn some important safety skills. Kids and adults alike will enjoy the fire safety house, touring a fire truck and police car, learning hands-only CPR and getting tips on emergency preparedness.

“We have been inspired by the amazing work of the California Fire Foundation Endowment,” said event organizer and Fire Captain Erik Falkenstrom. “We are eager to help raise money for their scholarship program which awards money to children of firefighters who have died in the line of duty.”

“Our goal is to raise enough money to fully fund five scholarships this year,” said Falkenstrom. “A big thanks to Firehouse 37 who is also donating a portion of all sales to help us reach our goal.”

Donations will be warmly accepted at the events or online. Visit www.cafirefoundation.org. So mark your calendar for an afternoon and evening of safety, great food, amazing music, fun friends and a wonderful cause. For more information visit www.firedepartment.org.
