San Ramon Valley School Teachers Honored For Outstanding Teaching Skills and Service

San Ramon Rotary honored some of the finest teachers, counselors, and support personnel from various schools in the San Ramon Valley Unified School District.

In her opening remarks, San Ramon Rotary President, Kathy Sutton Gailey, congratulated all of the educators for their great work towards the children. She further noted that the "Educator Of The Year" awards presentation was one of her favorite events that San Ramon Rotary hosts each year. Event Chair, Chris Gayler, also lavished praise on the awards recipients citing how their dedicated work will help shape the future of his own two young sons.

Each of the educators was nominated by their respective school's Principals. The principals, many of them in attendance, provided detailed accounts of the commitment and high-quality creative teaching methods used by the teachers to be most effective and impactful with their students.

San Ramon Rotarians Michael Prilutsky, Lucky Sandhu, John Milich and Paula Gross read the glowing testimonials from school principals to a very admiring and appreciative audience.

To grace the occasion, San Ramon Mayor, Bill Clarkson, and San Ramon Valley Education Foundation Directors Liz Graswich and Cristene Taylor Burr were also in attendance.

Teachers and counselors from the following schools were honored: Bella Vista Elementary, Bollinger Canyon Elementary, Cal High, Coyote Creek Elementary, Country Club Elementary, Gale Ranch Middle School, Golden Hills Elementary, Hidden Hills Elementary, Iron Horse Middle; Live Oak Elementary School, Montevideo Elementary, Neil A. Armstrong Elementary, Pine Valley Middle School; Quail Run Elementary; Twin Creeks Elementary, Venture School; Walt Disney Elementary and Windemere Ranch Middle School.
