San Ramon Valley Unified School District Announces Classified Employees of the Year
George Bautista was one of 43 employees nominated this year.

On Tuesday, March 24, 2015, the San Ramon Valley Unified School District’s Board of Education recognized the District’s 2015 Classified Employee of the Year George Bautista as well as 42 other nominees representing SRVUSD schools and departments.
“Mr. Bautista and this year’s nominees exemplify the hard work and dedication that takes place each and every day on behalf of our students,” said SRVUSD Superintendent Mary Shelton. “It was an honor to present this small token of our appreciation for all that they do.”

George Bautista has worked for the San Ramon Valley Unified School District since August of 1996. He is the Head Custodian at Dougherty Valley High School, and is credited with opening the school in 2007.
“George is a hardworking, loyal and dedicated employee who comes to work each day with a positive attitude that permeates our campus,” said Dougherty Valley High School Principal Daniel Hillman. “Through the great custodial team he has built, George ensures that student learning takes place free of distraction. As a result of his dedication, the students and staff of DVHS can experience our campus as if it was the first day of school in the fall of 2007.”

The purpose of the Employee of the Year Program is to recognize the efforts of our outstanding classified employees and their positive contributions to students. Each year each SRVUSD school and division nominates an employee of the year. The final selection for Employee of the Year is based on the following criteria:
· An individual who has made significant contributions to his/her school/community or department;
· Adopts the attributes of Rigor, Relevance and Relationships in their work;
· Strives for excellence in his/her daily work, and promotes a healthy work/learning environment.
All nominees are recognized by the Board of Education.
