E-Scooters: Test Ride a Shared Scooter Today!

E-scooters are gaining in popularity as a low-cost, emission-free alternative to driving. They’re lightweight and portable, quick to charge, and easy to maintain. This makes them ideal for short commute trips, errands, and just for fun. Pro tip: E-scooters that can be folded and carried are welcome on BART trains.

E-scooters typically start at $300 for a basic folding model. A larger investment can get you a longer battery life, a lighter frame, or a smoother ride. Helmets are recommended for adults and required for riders younger than 18.

Want to try before you buy? Download the Bird app and visit a San Ramon nest location for a test ride on a shared scooter.
