Contra Costa County Storm Damage Survey
Input Requested from Residents and Businesses by Friday, January 27

Due to recent storms, Contra Costa County has an Emergency Proclamation that sets the County up to qualify for Individual Assistance (IA). At this time, Contra Costa County has not qualified for Individual Assistance from CAL OES or FEMA. To qualify, the County has to demonstrate a significant impact on private property.

To demonstrate private property impacts, the County has requested that residents and businesses fill out the Residential Damage Survey by end of day today, Friday, January 27*.

Find out what's happening in San Ramonfor free with the latest updates from Patch.

Members of the Cal OES / FEMA Recovery Team will be in the area on Sunday and Monday to survey the damage, based on forms submitted by members of the public and local businesses. Their survey of private property damage will be based on what has been submitted using the Residential Damage Survey.

*Submitting a form today does not mean a resident or business will automatically qualify for future assistance. Still, all Damage Survey submissions make a difference in whether or not Contra Costa County is included in in the Federal Major Disaster Declaration. If Contra Costa County is included in this declaration, the availability of resources and assistance will be far greater.

Contra Costa County also has a Storm Response 2023 Disaster Recovery page on the County website where residents can find more information.

What you should do if you have damage to your property: Those who have experienced personal property damage, please contact your insurance company first to determine what resources might be available. Keep track of the damages and take photos of structural and content damage. The County is also looking into available resources. Please note that Public Works does not remove debris or clean up private property.

Reporting damage to your property: It is very important for the County to gather data on damage to private property to determine if the county will qualify for individual and Small Business Administration (SBA) aid.

For more information, including plans for future financial assistance please go to the County's Storm FAQs page.

San Ramon Performing Arts Series presents the Marshall Tucker Band
Sunday, January 29 at 7 p.m.
Dougherty Valley Performing Arts Center

The Marshall Tucker Band came together as a young, hungry, and quite driven six-piece outfit in 1972, and they’ve been in tune with tearing it up on live stages both big and small all across the globe ever since. A typically rich MTB set list is bubbling over with a healthy dose of hits like the heartfelt singalong Heard It in a Love Song, the insistent pleading of Can’t You See, the testifying Fire on the Mountain, the wanderlust gallop of Long Hard Ride, and the explosive testimony of Ramblin’, to name a few.
