SAN RAMON, CA — San Ramon Valley firefighters rescued a fawn last weekend that had become stuck in a fence surrounding a San Ramon home.

The fawn had apparently shimmied the front half its body through two iron fence posts, but its rear leg hooked around a third fence post, leaving the animal's rear half suspended in the fence, according to photos posted by firefighters.

Firefighters shielded the fawn's eyes with a yellow firefighter's jacket as they pried open the iron posts to let the fawn free.
