TRI-VALLEY, CA — With Christmas just around the corner, it’s time to get out and get your tree.

Though Christmas celebrations are sure to be limited in these times of uncertainty brought on by COVID-19, holiday cheer is needed now more than ever.

Here is a list of Christmas Tree Farms in or near the Tri-Valley:

Moore Pumpkins and Christmas Trees in San Ramon and Livermore has been providing East Bay Area families with trees since 1984. They offer Silver Tip, Noble Fir, and Nordmann fir trees at both locations ranging from three to 24 feet in height, with the option of flocked trees in Livermore. If you’re looking for extra holiday greenery, they also sell wreaths and garlands. Be sure to stop by either of these locations Monday through Thursday from noon to 7 p.m. and Friday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at 19901 San Ramon Valley Blvd., San Ramon, or 2180 Cayetano Ct., Livermore.

Morning Glory Farm Christmas Trees in Dublin and Danville is another great local option for all of your Christmas tree needs. They offer a wide variety of holiday necessities, including the choice of flocked trees, wreaths, garlands, stands and with a delivery option. The business also offers different types of trees, like Noble fir and Nordmann fir. Check out either of these locations at 3380 Blackhawk Plaza Circle, Danville, and 7887 Dublin Blvd., Dublin from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Sunday to gear up for the holiday season.

Castro Valley Christmas Tree Farm in Castro Valley has been a family owned business since 1965 with a wide range of trees available that are mostly grown directly on the farm. Customers have the option to cut down a Monterey Pine, Douglas Fir, Sierra Redwood, White Fir, Redwood, Monterey Cypress, or Incense Cedar tree to take home, or pick up a pre-cut Noble Fir. With trees that you can cut down yourself, these are sure to be as fresh as possible, but make sure they are put in water immediately when home and possibly given a new cut. If you’re looking for an outdoor, interactive experience to get your Christmas tree this season, Castro Valley Christmas Tree Farm is definitely a great option located at 7001 Miller Road, Castro Valley and open Friday through Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.

Brent’s Christmas Trees in Oakland is a great East Bay Area Christmas tree stop if you don’t mind the drive. With trees shipped in from Oregon, they offer a variety including Noble Fir, Silver Tip, Nordman, Douglas Fir, Scotch Pine, Ponderosa Pine, Cedar, Sequoyah, and Grand Fir. They additionally have wreaths, mistletoe, and garlands available, as well as an option for fire-retardant services and delivery. Not only will they deliver to homes, but local businesses as well.
