Solar Eclipse From San Ramon: Photos Of The Day
Jeff Gelb and Nithya Ravi shared photos they took of the eclipse from San Ramon.
SAN RAMON, CA — Cloudy skies didn’t stop Jeff Gelb or Nithya Ravi from capturing the “ring of fire” solar eclipse on Saturday, when the moon blocked the sun.
Gelb shot the eclipse on his iPhone 15 Pro just a few minutes after totality, the peak of the eclipse when the moon's disk obscures the sun completely. The shot was taken in a parking lot near the intersection of Crow Canyon Road and I-680.
Ravi captured the eclipse on her iPhone 14 from the Twin Creeks Trail.
