SAN RAMON, CA — Vijay Balasubramanian shared this incredible photo of a spotted towhee he saw near Hidden Valley Open Space area in San Ramon. The spotted towhee is a large sparrow about the size of a robin known for bright red eyes and light pink legs. They are found in open forests, brushy fields, and chaparrals throughout the American West.
