Quarry Lane School senior has placed in the Top 30 of the prestigious, international Breakthrough Junior Challenge science video contest.
Quarry Lane School senior, Rhea Mitr, has placed in the Top 30 semifinalists worldwide for the 2019 Breakthrough Junior Challenge Contest, a prestigious, international science video competition. Rhea is just one of a handful of semifinalists in the North America region. As such, Rhea's video on Immune Checkpoint Inhibitors has qualified for the Popular Vote of the challenge!
The Breakthrough Junior Challenge award winner will receive a $250,000 scholarship and will be featured at the annual Breakthrough Prize Awards, held at the NASA Ames Research Center. The Breakthrough Prize Awards are sponsored by Sergey Brin, Mark Zuckerberg, Priscilla Chan, Ma Huateng, Yuri and Julia Milner, and Anne Wojcicki.
