Tri-Valley Leaders Pay Tribute To San Ramon Regional Staff
U.S. Rep. Eric Swalwell, Assemblymember Rebecca Bauer-Kahan and others took a moment to thank San Ramon Regional Medical Center workers.
SAN RAMON, CA — San Ramon Regional Medical Center health care professionals were honored last week by local officials including U.S. Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA), California Assemblymember Rebecca Bauer-Kahan (D-Tri-Valley) and San Ramon Mayor Bill Clarkson.
Hospital administrators, San Ramon's police and fire chiefs and San Ramon Rotary Club were also among those to join in and give thanks to SRRMC health care professionals. The tribute was posted Friday in honor of National Hospital Week.
"This may be national hospital and health care week, but truly we want to thank you every day and every week of the year," said SRRMC CEO Ann Lucena. "What you do day in and day out is so admirable and so appreciated."

SRRMC were lauded for their resilience, dedication, hard work, courage and compassion.
With this year's National Hospital Week occurring during a worldwide pandemic, Swalwell said in the video that the public should thank hospital workers by working to get them needed personal protective equipment, and supporting health care professionals in their efforts to get universal COVID-19 tests and find a vaccine.

"If we're going to [get the pandemic under control], it's going to be because of the doctors, and nurses, and hospital staff ... all the people that walk through that building every day, put their lives at risk to take care of the sickest of us," he said.
Bauer-Kahan said National Hospital Week is cause to thank all hospital workers, from people doing behind-the-scenes paper work, providing meals and cleaning rooms to nurses and doctors providing care.
"You are all showing up every day risking your own health and well-being to care for our community and for that I'm grateful," she said. "We see you and we appreciate you."
