Vehicular Manslaughter Charge Filed Against Manteca Woman in Danville Cyclist Death

A Manteca woman has been charged with vehicular manslaughter in connection with a May 5 collision in Danville that killed a bicyclist, police said Thursday.

The collision occurred shortly after 4:30 p.m. when Alyssa Densmore, 26, struck a bicyclist on Crow Canyon Road near Tassajara Ranch Drive while driving north, according to police. The bicyclist, 55-year-old George Kaufer, was critically injured in the accident and later died of his injuries.

The District Attorney’s Office has charged Densmore with one count of vehicular manslaughter, police said.
