Chengjiang National Geopark, one of the first batch of the national geoparks approved by the Ministry of Land and Resources of P.R.C., is located in Chengjiang County around Maotianshan Area. It is 52 km away from Kunming City Kunming tour, and covers a total area of 18 sq km.
The main geological remains in the park are paleontologic fossils.
