Would-Be Robber Caught On Camera, San Ramon Police Say

SAN RAMON, CA — Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man who allegedly tried to take a Rolex watch during an e-commerce transaction at a Starbucks in San Ramon Monday. Police said the victim, who listed a Rolex watch for sale on Craigslist, met the suspect for the exchange inside the San Ramon coffee shop on Crow Canyon Place at about 10 a.m.

The victim foiled the robbery attempt and kept the watch but suffered from some minor injuries during the scuffle, according to police. The suspect, who is in his 20s, was last seen leaving in a small dark-colored SUV similar to a Nissan Rogue.
