Jogger Hit, Killed Near Iron Horse Trail In San Ramon
The Walnut Creek man was crossing Crow Canyon Road when he was fatally struck, police said.

SAN RAMON, CA — A Walnut Creek man who was on the Iron Horse Trail crossing at Crow Canyon Road in San Ramon was hit and killed by a car this morning, police officials said. The man was jogging southbound on the trail when he was fatally struck just before 7 a.m.
“Upon the officer’s arrival, life-saving measures were administered to the pedestrian, who was later pronounced deceased at San Ramon Regional Medical Center,” police said in a statement.
The pedestrian’s name is being withheld until notifications are made to his next of kin. The driver is cooperating with police and neither drugs nor alcohol appear to be a factor in the collision. Police are investigating the deadly crash and ask witnesses contact the San Ramon Police Department at 925-973-2700.
