14-Year-Old Girl Hit By Car Crossing San Ramon Intersection
A young girl is in stable condition after being struck Sunday afternoon. It was the second major accident in San Ramon over the weekend.
SAN RAMON, CA — A young girl was struck by a car Sunday night at the intersection of Alcosta Boulevard and Broadmoor Drive, Bay City News reported. The girl was in critical but stable condition as of 11 p.m. Sunday, San Ramon Police Chief Denton Carlson told BCN.
The girl crossing the crosswalk alone at the intersection of the two streets when she was hit, Carlson told Patch. She was taken by San Ramon fire department medics to Children’s Hospital in Oakland.
The driver cooperated with police and has not been arrested, Carlson said. Drugs or alcohol are not believed to be involved, but the investigation remains open.

The intersection was closed for about 4.5 hours and reopened at about 10 p.m.
On Saturday, one person was severely injured following a rollover collision near the intersection of Crow Canyon Road and Deerwood Road, San Ramon police said. The victim was taken to a local hospital and is in stable condition as of Saturday afternoon. The westbound lanes of Crow Canyon Road and Deerwood Road were closed for about two hours as emergency crews cleared the cars from the lane.

“Due to the severity of the injuries sustained in this collision, members of our major traffic accident investigation team are responding,” SRPD tweeted.
